  That's WRONG :(

This was the original web page set up on Dressage.com / Dressage un Ltd before Ky, internet and equestrian web guru, was requested by stable owners topurchase a domain, build the website, in December, 1998.  Stable owners were taking 'intro to internet', so Ky updated, maintained, and eventually taught owners to edit the templates Ky created.  Ky had a scanner, so all photos were scanned and added to the site including those by Susan Sexton, RIP, Ky's mentor and Ky -  photos were copyrighted, never paid, although Susan always demanded payment.  Photos were Susan's only income source.  Ky was never paid, not even for mileage nor for film nor processing.

On average, two events a year were professionally photograghed / and or vidoed - inspections, clinics, shows.  The farm was often featured on Dressage.com and tv.

Ky even donated a Farm Video Shoot for the American Hanoverian Society annual meeting to be featured on Dressage.com tv without reimbursement.  The bidding was intense with Wendy finally getting the last bid and the tv show.  After the pro trainer showed off her stallion, I asked Wendy if she'd like to ride him (not realizing she hadn't ridden her stallion in a long time).  Trainer, husband urged her to ride and the stallion LOVED his mom.  The trainer carefully guided her Wendy's very first flying change :) and everyone saw it on TV!!!  Way to Go, Wendy.

Ky filmed, edited, produced, adding slow motion extended trot opening, music, and a loving clip when the stallion put his head on the rider's shoulder (these clips show temperament without saying a word).

Ky was never paid for anything.

This fall, Ky and site users, stable owners, learned that Ky owned WoodRidgeFarm.com.  Stable owners refused to pay anything for the 14+ years of hosting, photographing, videoing and more.

Ky took the site down --- it is her content, her unpaid photos.  Owners found another internet place and then wrongfully took all the content etc.

As Ky built the site and knows it far better than stable owners / users, it was easy to find on the new internet location, pages very similar to this with Photos by Kyra Beth Houston and copyright :)  Some of these photos have been commercially published by stable owners / users without commercial use payment.  Copyright Violation.

This is simply wrong.  Ky could sue, although an attorney, she has never sued anyone in her own behalf.  Lawsuits take time and cost money.

Kyra Beth Houston:  I have more important things to do with my life than file and contest lawsuits.  If I get my team of attorneys and other professionals to sue, it will cost way more.  Producing Dressage.com / tv asap is far more important.  While it does take some cash to buy horse, critter feed, pay vet, shavings, none of my family (have no human relatives) my family is my animals, do not eat even $100 bills nor do I.

I only want to be paid what other professionals like Susan Sexton were.

Perhaps, the publicity will convince owner / user to negotiate a settlement.
