Clinic Reports

  • You need to have hard work, but in the right way, sometimes you can work hard in the wrong way.
  • A very little result is a good result
  • The basic techniques, or what they call basics, are more difficult than what comes later, this is the Trap of Dressage. Correct basics are more difficult than the piaffe and passage.
  • Always go back to the basics and when you have that, you have everything.
  • You should do careful riding, not too hectic, let the horse do the work and be careful with skill.
  • Lessons done in the right way help, lessons done in the wrong way don’t help.
  • Contact and confidence are the same thing.
  • When we are having difficulties, we must get to the basics and then everything becomes easy.
  • Sit quietly and let things happen and then the horse becomes more calm and relaxed.
  • Don’t punish the horse, but develop the young horse carefully. Try not to give the horse a chance to resist.
  • Corners are important and shows the difference between a nice rider and a dressage rider.
  • Use the corners to improve your work, even on the showgrounds.
  • The horse show is always a game of long and short. Collection and extension, both all the time.
  • Preparation sounds easy but you have a very little time to do it.
  • The Half Halt is thinking about the walk.
  • Mistakes do not exist, only bad riding exists.
