Netherlands Bonfire & Goliath
Training 9/04 From this week the dressage riders are back at their normal training level. Sjef Janssen:” I train Anky and Ajen separately now. First they rode at the same time, because we were taking it easy with the horses. Now the training is more serious. I take Goliath and Bonfire individually, so I can give them both my full attention.” Apart from the training Sjef continues to amuse himself on the golf course. “ Today Anky, Jürgen Koschel and I were able to play 18 holes. As we are getting so conditioned from our daily fitness training, we could walk the whole course. Jürgen has become so fanatical, he nearly took the wing of a bird with the swing of his club.” 9/06 Vet Clinic Emile Welling traveled to Sydney to be the Dutch team vet. He checks the horses thoroughly almost every day by inspecting their heart, lungs and blood. This insures that any problems will be immediately recognized, e.g. infections or any deficiencies. All the horses are super fit and overall there have been no problems till now. Situated at Horsley Park there is a department of all the veterinary supplies from the Australian University. The team vets are able to use all equipment and medicines from this department with also the assistance of Australian vets if necessary. From the 13th of September Albert van Unen will replace Emile Welling as Dutch team vet. Copyright © Dressage un Ltd. All rights reserved.
