Anky Trains in the Mud 9/28 Today Arjen and Anky consciously trained in the sludge. Goliath was already used to it from the previous day. But Anky had not practiced before in this. Also in the mud Bonfire went well. Anky is now in full confidence to compete in the Special. Sjef: “We watched the Grand Prix a few times on video. We discovered a few things where we worked on in the training. The improvements will carry through into the Special. Anyway, the Special is a test that suits Bonfire better. So we will see tomorrow.” Today’s training for Ferro and Silvano also went the way the riders wished. Best 15 Advance to the Kur The best 15 combinations from the Grand Prix Special may go on to the Kür to music. It is a pity that the fourth Dutch combination has to be dropped after the Special. From each country only three combinations can go further. Both for Germany and for Holland one combination has to fall off, even though they probably will end up in the first 15. Sound Check for Kur Tomorrow, right after the Special the sound check for the Kür to music on Saturday takes place. All the riders get the possibility to test their music to get the volume correct. Unpredictable Weather At the moment the weather in Sydney is really unpredictable. One moment it is raining cats and dogs and it is only 5°C. The next moment the sun is shining brightly with 30°C. Anky: “ Sometimes we have four seasons in one day. Especially for the horses it is hard to adjust to this sporadic weather. It doesn’t make it any easier.”
