Aimee,
who rides Mounted Police but loves dressage, and Jennifer Dainer,
came to the World Cup with Susan and I, and all four of us were
glued to our seats through the entire competition--made even more
enjoyable by Cara Whitham's excellent commentary. We are particular
fans of Debbie and Leslie Morse, so you can imagine how thrilled we
were, both for their success, and for the opportunity to have
breakfast with them on Friday!
I had the
opportunity to talk to both Debbie and Leslie this past weekend,
both of whom are continuing their winning ways! Debbie won the Grand
Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle at Del Mar with Brentina, and Leslie
Morse and Tip Top were second (Leslie was giving Kingston a bit of a
rest). Both riders finished to standing ovations, and had clean
tests that deserved every bit of the applause that came their way.
Steffen Peters and Floriano, and Guenter Seidel and Niklaus 7 were
not far behind--we are so blessed on the West Coast to have this
kind of riding talent at our back door!
