8 y.o. Dutch Warmblood Mare

age foolish male that I am, wound up going for a mail order bride.
Sweet young thing from Holland. In fact everyone who has met her has
commented how sweet she is. She thinks Skipper is very cute, and
flirts with him shamelessly.
It's okay, as she's a Dutch warmblood mare, 15.3, 8 y.o. Officially
bay, but what I'd probably call brown. supposedly shown in jumpers
to 1.3 meters (about 4 foot), and schooled to about 2nd or 3rd level
in dressage.
She's just out of quarantine, just before T'giving - 2 extra weeks
for girls over geldings. I have to teach her about treats; she
doesn't speak carrots yet.
I didn't see her last weekend since I went to the Zettl clinic Sat
and Sun, all the way in southern NJ - 5+ hour trip home Sunday
evening.
I was told her name is "Memory" - which doesn't move me;
on her halter it said Indoctro. I have not seen her papers yet; if I
was in my office, I could have the vet clinic fax a copy. Yet
another effect of jury duty. <g>
Of course, next is the saddle search insanity, not helped by the
storm today - 6-8 inches. when I have to go schlepping all over NJ
to look, I'd rather it be clear roads.
